The Boston Celtics have taken a commanding 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals after blowing out the Dallas Mavericks 107-89 in Game 1 on Thursday night. Jayson Tatum led the way for the Celtics with 27 points, while Jaylen Brown added 20 points and Al Horford chipped in with 17 points. The Celtics took control of the game early, jumping out to a 17-point lead in the first quarter. They maintained their lead throughout the game, leading by as many as 26 points in the third quarter. The Mavericks struggled to keep up with the Celtics' high-powered offense. Kristaps Porzingis led the Mavericks with 19 points, but he was the only player to score in double figures. The Mavericks shot just 38.5% from the field and 25.0% from three-point range. The Celtics, on the other hand, shot 47.6% from the field and 40.0% from three-point range. They also outrebounded the Mavericks 53-38. The Mavericks will need to make some adjustments if they want to get back into this series. They will need to find a way to slow down the Celtics' offense and get more production from their supporting cast. Game 2 of the series will be played in Dallas on Sunday night.
