Tennessee officials are still assessing the damage after a series of tornadoes and severe thunderstorms ripped through the state on Saturday, leaving six people dead and more than 60 injured.
Deadly Twisters Strike Across State
The storms, which began in the afternoon, spawned multiple tornadoes that touched down across central Tennessee, causing widespread damage and leaving thousands without power. One particularly destructive tornado struck the city of Cookeville, where it claimed the lives of four people and injured dozens more.
Among the victims was a young child, a toddler who was killed when the family's home was destroyed.
